class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p> Nesta \u00faltima se\u00e7\u00e3o veremos a origem do grau Celsius porque, como vimos, nem sempre foi dito da mesma forma.<\/p>\n<p> Em 1742, o f\u00edsico Anders Celsius criou a escala de graus Celsius. A escala baseou-se nas temperaturas de ebuli\u00e7\u00e3o e congelamento da \u00e1gua, \u00e0s quais atribuiu os valores 0\u00baC e 100\u00baC.<\/p>\n<p> No entanto, conforme projetada, a escala era um pouco confusa de usar, pois um valor de temperatura mais alto significava uma temperatura mais baixa. \u00c9 por isso que Jean-Pierre Christin e Carlos Linnaeus modificaram a escala invertendo os pontos de refer\u00eancia, para que a temperatura de congelamento da \u00e1gua passasse a 0\u00baC e a sua temperatura de ebuli\u00e7\u00e3o a 100\u00baC.<\/p>\n<p> Ressalta-se que a princ\u00edpio a letra min\u00fascula c (\u00bac) foi utilizada como s\u00edmbolo de unidade.<\/p>\n<p> Esta escala termom\u00e9trica \u00e9 utilizada desde sempre e, de facto, devido \u00e0 sua longa hist\u00f3ria, o termo graus Celsius ainda \u00e9 utilizado para expressar uma temperatura. Mas atualmente isso \u00e9 falso.<\/p>\n<p> Em 1948, na Confer\u00eancia Geral de Pesos e Medidas, o nome da escala cent\u00edgrada foi alterado para escala Celsius, estabelecendo tamb\u00e9m o grau Celsius. Essa altera\u00e7\u00e3o foi feita para evitar confus\u00e3o com a medi\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e2ngulos, tamb\u00e9m chamados de graus Celsius.<\/p>\n<p> Mais tarde, em 1954, a defini\u00e7\u00e3o da escala Celsius foi alterada. O valor 0,01 \u00baC foi atribu\u00eddo \u00e0 temperatura do ponto triplo da \u00e1gua destilada e 1 \u00baC \u00e0 fra\u00e7\u00e3o 1\/273,16 da diferen\u00e7a com temperaturas de zero absoluto.<\/p>\n<p> Finalmente, em 1968, o grau Celsius foi definido a partir do Kelvin.
