Assim, a frequ\u00eancia de uma onda indica o n\u00famero de oscila\u00e7\u00f5es que a onda faz por unidade de tempo.<\/p>\n<p> No Sistema Internacional de Unidades (SI), a frequ\u00eancia \u00e9 expressa em hertz (ou hertz), cujo s\u00edmbolo \u00e9 Hz. Um hertz equivale a um dividido por um segundo (Hz=1\/s).<\/p>\n<p> Por exemplo, se uma onda se repete cinco vezes por segundo, isso significa que a frequ\u00eancia dessa onda \u00e9 de cinco ciclos por segundo.
