Mas um corpo tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 capaz de absorver radia\u00e7\u00e3o infravermelha. Assim, quando um corpo absorve radia\u00e7\u00e3o infravermelha, ele aquece. Por exemplo, um laser infravermelho utiliza esse tipo de onda eletromagn\u00e9tica. Da mesma forma, os controles remotos costumam usar infravermelho para enviar sinais para a TV.<\/p>\n<p> O conceito de radia\u00e7\u00e3o infravermelha tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 utilizado em tarefas militares ou de seguran\u00e7a.
