Met andere woorden, de golflengte is de afstand tussen twee opeenvolgende equivalente punten. Daarom is de golflengte de afstand die de golf aflegt tijdens \u00e9\u00e9n cyclus of oscillatie.<\/p>\n<p> Het symbool voor golflengte is \u03bb.<\/p>\n<p> De golflengte is bijvoorbeeld de afstand tussen twee opeenvolgende pieken of de afstand tussen twee opeenvolgende dalen. De golflengte en de periode zijn dus recht evenredig.
