Daarom is de eenheid van lineaire verplaatsing in het Syst\u00e8me International (SI) de meter.<\/p>\n<p> Merk op dat in de natuurkunde het begrip lineaire verplaatsing anders is dan het begrip verplaatsing. Als we lineaire verplaatsing zeggen, bedoelen we de afstand die wordt afgelegd in een cirkelvormige beweging, terwijl we, als we alleen maar verplaatsing zeggen, verwijzen naar de variatie van de positie in een rechtlijnige beweging.
