De centripetale versnelling staat loodrecht op de snelheid van de mobiel en wijst naar het midden van de kromming van het traject.<\/p>\n<p> Daarom is centripetale versnelling de vectorcomponent van versnelling die beweging kromlijnig maakt in plaats van recht. Tangenti\u00eble versnelling geeft dus de verandering in de grootte van de snelheid van een lichaam aan.<\/p>\n<p> Daarom, als de grootte van de snelheid van een lichaam niet varieert, zal de tangenti\u00eble versnelling van een lichaam nul zijn.
