Met andere woorden: \u00e9\u00e9n megavolt is gelijk aan 1.000.000 volt ( <sup>10,6<\/sup> V).<\/p>\n<p> Het symbool voor megavolt is <strong>mV<\/strong> . In de techniek worden de spanningen van elektriciteitscentrales bijvoorbeeld meestal weergegeven in megavolt.<\/p>\n<p> Het begrip megavolt mag niet worden verward met dat van megawatt. De megavolt is een eenheid van elektrische spanning, terwijl de megawatt een eenheid van elektrisch vermogen is.
