Met andere woorden, absorptie is een hoeveelheid die wordt gebruikt om de hoeveelheid licht die een stof raakt te vergelijken met de hoeveelheid licht die er doorheen gaat nadat het er doorheen is gegaan.<\/p>\n<p> Wiskundig wordt absorptie gedefinieerd als minus de logaritme van het quoti\u00ebnt tussen de intensiteit van het licht dat door een stof ging en de intensiteit van het licht voordat het in contact kwam met de stof. Hieronder ziet u de formule voor deze fysieke meting.<\/p>\n<p> Absorptie wordt vaak gebruikt om de resultaten van een experiment te kwantificeren. Het gebruik van absorptie is dus gebruikelijk in scheikundige laboratoria.<\/p>\n<p> Soms zeggen we in plaats van <strong>absorptie<\/strong> , omdat het normaal zou zijn als de term zou zijn afgeleid van het werkwoord <em>absorberen<\/em> . Op dezelfde manier geldt dat hoe langer het medium doorkruist wordt door de elektromagnetische straling, hoe hoger de absorptiewaarde. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Absorbancia-y-transmitancia\"><\/span> Absorptie en transmissie<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p> In dit laatste deel zullen we het verschil zien tussen absorptie en transmissie, aangezien het twee nauw verwante fysieke concepten zijn.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Transmissie<\/strong> is een fysieke grootheid die de hoeveelheid lichtenergie uitdrukt die door elektromagnetische straling wordt doorgelaten.<\/p>\n<p> Het <strong>verschil tussen absorptie en transmissie<\/strong> is daarom dat absorptie de hoeveelheid licht meet die een stof absorbeert, terwijl transmissie de hoeveelheid licht meet die door een stof gaat.<\/p>\n<p> Absorptie en transmissie zijn dus met elkaar verbonden.
