Questo nome cominci\u00f2 ad essere utilizzato per misurare le forze all&#8217;inizio del XX secolo, ma fu solo nel 1948 che fu designato ufficialmente alla Conferenza Generale sui Pesi e le Misure (CGPM).<\/p>\n<p> In particolare, un newton \u00e8 la forza necessaria per spostare un corpo di massa 1 kg con un&#8217;accelerazione di 1 m\/s <sup>2<\/sup> .
