Dengan kata lain, lintasan suatu benda adalah garis khayal yang dilacaknya seiring dengan pergerakannya.<\/p>\n<p> Misalnya, ketika kita melempar bola ke dalam keranjang, lintasan bola adalah sekumpulan posisi yang dilaluinya saat meninggalkan tangan pelempar hingga mencapai keranjang. Meskipun hanya ada satu pergerakan antara dua titik tersebut, garis manakah yang menghubungkan kedua titik tersebut?<\/p>\n<p> Artinya perpindahannya mungkin lebih kecil dari total jarak yang ditempuh dalam keseluruhan perjalanan.
